Sawmill Parkway Extension
With an initial contract value of over $30.4 million, Trucco Construction was the low bidder on this 4.64 mile extension of Sawmill Parkway. This multiple-municipality project included 4 roundabouts, a signalized intersection with US Rt. 42, over 550,000 CY of dirt to be moved, approximately 74,000 LF of underground pipe, numerous box culverts, over 232,000 SY of cement stabilized subgrade and nearly 19 miles of curb and gutter. The project had a cross country feel as it traversed many farms and residences throughout the course of the roadway alignment. Constant communication with property owners was essential to maintain a work environment that was conducive to cooperation during the two year project. This was the largest project to be awarded by Delaware County to date.
